Faith's 8th Birthday
>> Thursday, January 5, 2017
Faith had her 8th birthday yesterday. We were all excited to celebrate Faith because she's such an important part of our family! We had decided to keep the birthday celebrations for just our family this year because last year was a much bigger deal. But that didn't make Faith any less special. She's such a blessing to all of us!
Faith's big birthday present this year was a new bike!! When she woke up and came out of her bedroom it was covered with a blanket. She was happy to see her new bike! It's a bigger bike with brakes that work! She's going to have lots of fun riding this bike around.
After getting dressed, Joseph and Faith wanted to rush outside and ride bikes.
Tim was the one who picked out this bike. He had a big smile on his face as he watched his little girl ride her bike around.
For lunch we went to Chili's where they sing to people with a birthday! We are all fans of their Chocolate Molten Cake. Faith was super happy about this special treat!
After lunch we took the kids to a place called "Jumping Clay" where kids can make a figure out of clay. Joseph made a picachu and Faith made a bunny.
Eve and I watched a little and played a little. Believe me, she didn't stay like this for long.
This clay has an interesting, soft texture that's really fun to work with.
Here they are with their finished product!
Our next stop was to get Faith a manicure! This is something she looked forward to doing. Faith is so girly and so this was right up her alley. She enjoyed being pampered.
After dinner we had cake at home. Faith had helped to decorate her cake the night before and couldn't wait to blow out her number 8 candle.
All day, every time we would tell someone that it was her birthday they would ask her, "how old are you?" and she would say, "I'm turning 8 today." Later she told me that once she finally blows out her number 8 candle, she would finally be 8 years old.
Another of Faith's gifts was a new comforter for her bed. She, along with her dad and brother, are big Star Wars fans.
Faith got a few new barbie dolls. Recently she has really enjoyed playing with barbies.
