Joseph and Faith love school! It's such a joy to hear them say, "I love school, Mommy!" They wear uniforms three days a week and "sports clothes" on the other two days. One day they came home with a note that said they should wear "party clothes" on Thursday, since they were having a party. Here they are in their party clothes.
Of course they were excited about a party, who isn't? They came home that day full of sugar, but very happy! It was a special day for the preschool.
I took a picture of Joseph's class on the party day. I can't help but smile really big whenever I look at Joseph in this picture. He's SO HAPPY to be with all of these boys! I love seeing him so happy and making friends!
I do feel bad for his teacher because she has 11 boys and no girls. She's really sweet! She and I are becoming good friends!
Here's an instagram picture of Jojo in his class!
Joseph has already started to learn to read and write three letter words in Arabic. Here is a a chart in his classroom that shows the sounds that the vowels make. It makes me so happy that my kids have this opportunity to be exposed to so much Arabic!
This was written on the board in Faith's class. They learned the first letter in the alphabet "alif." The Arabic word for rabbit (Arnib) starts with alif.
Here's a picture from when Faith and I were playing with play dough. I was helping her to learn the letters in her name. It says "I <3 Faith" in Arabic.
The kids haven't been interested in learning the Arabic alphabet until now. Faith is tracing the letter "baa" and Joseph is putting an alphabet puzzle together.
Faith is making friends too! One of her friends is Joseph's teacher's daughter! I love this picture! Seeing her happy makes me so happy too!
Here's Faith with some of her other friends in her class.
On Thursday they went on their first field trip. They went to the play place at the mall. The idea of riding on the bus was the most exciting part!! Here's Joseph's class all lined up and ready to get on the bus!
