Faith's Preschool Graduation
>> Friday, June 13, 2014
On Thursday, June 5th, Faith graduated from preschool!
A few weeks ago they took this picture of her in a cap & gown. The sash she's wearing says, "Congratulations on graduating from the Little Dears Preschool." She's holding her certificate.
Last year Joseph graduated from the same preschool. They had a simple graduation ceremony at the preschool for his class. But this year they held the graduation in a party hall. Below you can see pictures & videos from her graduation ceremony.
Here's a picture of Faith's class dressed in traditional dresses for their performance.
They performed a dance to a song called "Nasifa Hallawa." It's a song about a traditional celebration called Garga'oon. The kids dress up in traditional dresses and go house to house to get candy. That's why they're each holding a bag...to get some candy.
They paired up and danced together. I loved watching Faith dance with her little friend, Ali Yusif.
Here's a video of that performance.

After the performances the younger classes came up to get their presents. It's always fun to see the moms smiling big, watching their kids on stage.
Then it was time for Faith's class to get their certificates. Here's a video of Faith walking up on stage to get her certificate.

Here she is, up on stage with her certificate and her graduation gift. I love this girl!
Standing on stage with her classmates.
They got all of the graduates up on stage and then they sprayed silly string and threw confetti.
I liked this picture with the confetti in the air!
Here's our little graduate! I know I'm biased, but I think she was the cutest graduate there!
At the end they decided to get all of the kids from the preschool on stage so the moms could take a group picture. The problem was that they had sparklers in the background...that made all of the kids turn around.
I didn't get a good shot, but I liked Faith's big smile in this picture. :)
Faith was happy that Carie & Melissa came to the graduation!
It's a must to have a picture with my daughter on her graduation day! I had to cover because the graduation was in a party hall that was upstairs from the maatem (religious place).
Jojo was also proud of his sister!
