Eve's First Birthday!
>> Saturday, April 16, 2016
A year ago, on April 13th, our tiny baby girl was born. This year has flown by! It's hard to believe our baby is already one year old.
She was slow to start opening her presents, but quickly caught on. Joseph and Faith were happy to help her with this!
One of her gifts was a little walker for her to push as she's learning to walk. I liked this picture of Tim taking her picture.
She also got a little pool that we filled with balls. She loves to sit in her pool and throw the balls out. She especially likes it she hits Faith with the balls. Faith yells "ow" and Eve laughs. haha!
I think her favorite toy was her phone. She likes to hold it to her ear and pretend to talk on it. Cute!
The next day Joseph and Faith helped me make cupcakes to for a party at a park. They had fun helping me do this! Because of homeschooling we could work this into our schedule. I really do love having my kids at home with me.
There were a lot of people around at the park and we had a great time. We somehow didn't take a lot of pictures, but we got this one. Isn't she a cute little Birthday Girl?
Toward the end of our time in the park, it started to rain. So, we packed up and went inside a little restaurant. There we sang Happy Birthday and ate cupcakes. Since this was Eve's second time eating cake, she didn't hesitate to stuff it in her mouth.
She had cake all over her face, even though it's hard to see it in this picture. She didn't get it in her hair, though!
We had a good time celebrating Eve Gloria's life. She's a blessing to our family. Our family has changed so much since she was born. She makes our life more full.
On the day of her actual birthday, we celebrated with just our family. We decorated Eve's highchair for her first cake. All four of us enjoyed watching her eat cake for the first time! She loved it. As she was eating it, she said, "yum!" So cute! She was slow to start opening her presents, but quickly caught on. Joseph and Faith were happy to help her with this!
